Joy to the World 2:22 Tradition tells that Lowell Mason wrote this Christmas carol using lyrical elements from George Frederic Handel's oratorio The Messiah. Arranged and played on the Ardival Rose Clarsach, Cynthia evokes the joyous pealing of bells celebrating the morning that joy came to the world. Silent Night 2:56 Silent Night, Holy Night was composed in the early 19th century by Franz Gruber. There is probably no more familiar Christmas carol in the world. Cynthia recorded this beautiful carol with two of her Ardival harps. The first two verses on the wire-strung Kilcoy, and then it gently bows out of the way as the gut-strung Dupplin harp finishes this beautiful lullaby.
