Table of Contents for this book
Carols of Christmas is a collection of thirty Christmas Carols, each one arranged in the spirit of the season. Primarily intended for the wire strung harp, the book is also be useful for any longringing harp.
The arrangements represent a variety of styles and abilities, from late beginner to advanced. A special index offers guidance to the many carols that fit on the very small clàrsach.
Levers are not necessary; all music in this book is playable on a leverfree harp. Minimal retuning between some selections is necessary: on an instrument normally tuned with only F strings sharp, never more than one string will need to be retuned for each consecutive arrangement.
Historical information and performance notes are included for many of the carols. The introduction includes an essay on the history of the Christmas carol.
